Medical Assistant
Midwest Urgent Care is looking for a Medical Assistant to help support our company’s commitment to providing the highest quality care for our patients. The ideal candidate will have an interest in helping people in need and a dedication to serving others. We’re looking for assistance with administrative tasks and patient care, and the ability to effectively manage paperwork and schedule appointments is essential.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN.
- Occupational Medicine experience (preferred).
- Excellent customer service, public relations and communication skills
- Ability to work as an effective team member to provide exceptional care

Responsibilities:
- Administrative duties such as scheduling patients, answering phones, maintaining patient charts.
- Performs basic lab tests and prepares specimens, administers medication and injections, performs blood draws, application of dressing.
- Assists medical provider during examinations and procedures. Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to professional certification, patient confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA, treatment and safety guidelines.
- Perform musculoskeletal X-rays. (We will train)
- Comply with state and federal regulations pertaining to HIPPA, treatment, and professional certifications.

Medical Office Receptionist
Midwest Urgent Care & Occupational Health, located in Rogers, MN, has been providing quality healthcare in a safe and comfortable environment since 2021. With state-of-the-art medical equipment and a caring staff, we offer walk-in urgent care services for individuals aged 2 and above. Our priority is the health and safety of our patients and their families.
Role Description
This position is an on-site role for a Medical Office Receptionist at Midwest Urgent Care & Occupational Health in Rogers, MN. The Medical Office Receptionist will be responsible for ensuring a pleasant environment for our patients and their families through exceptional customer service in person, via telephone or via email.
Hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday- Friday, no weekends.
Pay: $38000-$45000 / year.

Responsibilities
- Maintain the client flow in the lobby by greeting and responding to clients and their families positively and professionally.
- Answer incoming calls on a multi-line system, and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle caller’s request with exceptional customer service; take and retrieve messages.
- Multi-task general reception duties including but not limited to receive, scan, and distribute appropriate client paperwork, faxes, distribute mail and put away supplies received, collect payments, perform preliminary insurance benefit checks, and process release of information.
- Efficiently manage the new client intake process.
- Manage schedules in line with patients’ needs and medical provider availability.
- Initiate contact with clients to reschedule appointments and notify medical providers of schedule changes as needed.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and grace
- Be a privacy ambassador to ensure client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Experience:
- Medical Receptionist Experience: 1 year (required)
- Experience in a Medical Office setting: 1 year (preferred)
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
- Multi-line phone systems skills: 1 year (Preferred)
- Work related computer: 1 year (Preferred)
